Lou Lombardi has never liked political songs or political musicians. "Rock music is ANTI-establishment music." Lou insists. "Musicians telling you how to think about social issues and who to vote for is like your accountant giving you dating advice." He adds, "It's absurd and tragic."
"Most everyone these days... including most artists are crying about all the injustice in the world, but I just don't see the world that way..." He continues.
PEACE IN THE VALLEY
"There is less crime, less bigotry, less war and more prosperity than ever before in the history of the human race. " He goes on to explain, "The real problem is in our souls. We have allowed those with power(media and politicians) to fill us full of fear and distrust for each other. The truth is we don't need those people."
Picking up his coffee, he stares out the window. "We need to find some peace. We need to get back to love. We need to find appreciation." Lou smiles and shakes his head. "You can't legislate that man. You can't write an executive order or socially engineer that. That is a matter of the heart ," gesturing to a stack of vinyl albums on his studio floor. "If musicians want to save the world they need to write great music that nourishes the soul."
Peace in The Valley is the latest single from hard rock artist Lou Lombardi. It features Keith "the Hawk" Hawkins on drums, Katie Simone on backing vocals and Lou Lombardi aka "Loudini" on vocals and guitars(including bass). The track was mixed and mastered by Mike Ofca at Innovation Studios in Steubenville, Ohio. Kerry JK assisted in the production and arranging.
Peace in the Valley is a fist pumping rock anthem. Its pounding groove, cranked guitars and soaring vocals will elevate your soul beyond the noise of this world. The lyrics are a mighty call to spiritual action... not political. Peace in the Valley will get you to uncover your own inner power and wisdom, through peace, hope and love....and it rocks pretty damn hard too!
My Story...
Life is a journey, isn’t it? It all started from my first-sight LOVE...drums. which I played at church. I switched to guitar at 14 and after high school, my love for those six strings took a new turn when I started teaching guitar. Honestly, I am mad in love with great rock and roll from that classic era band’s like Led Zeppelin, Bad Company, Deep Purple, Kansas and Rush and I was deeply inspired by Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, and Alice in Chains as well.
